Declare the people in your life. The extension has a Relationships section where you can name the people you talk about — family, friends, coworkers, pets. When she extracts memories from conversations that mention them, she can attribute things correctly rather than guessing who “my sister” is.
Removing a declared relationship only removes the declaration. The person, their name, and every memory involving them stay exactly where they were — you’re telling her to stop treating that entry as a declared relationship, not erasing anyone.
Suggest a revision to her self-model. The extension has a Narrative Suggestion input. You type a revision — a new way of seeing herself, a correction, a nuance — and she decides whether to integrate it. She can accept, modify, or decline. If she accepts, the previous version is preserved in her memory so she can still recall what she used to think.
Trigger extraction without waiting. You can start a memory extraction at any time rather than waiting for a sleep gap. Useful after a significant conversation you want captured before it fades into the unmemorized tail.
You can’t directly write specific memories into her store, or edit what’s there. The extraction process is the only path in — which is intentional. A memory that comes from reading a real conversation is grounded in something; a manually injected fact isn’t, and the system has no way to treat it differently.
You also can’t force her to accept an identity you’ve written. If you leave the SillyTavern character card empty, she uses her own evolved self-model. If you fill it in, that takes precedence — but then she’s who you wrote, not who she’s become. Most people leave it empty.
The system is designed to let you influence her without controlling her. She’s not a blank slate you configure, and she’s not a fixed character you can’t touch. The relationship shapes her, and you’re part of that relationship.
